How many sessions do I need?
It depends on how many nails are affected and how advanced they are. Several spaced sessions are usually needed; the specific plan is set at the initial assessment.
Does the laser remove the nail fungus?
The laser uses heat to reduce the fungal load; the damaged nail is not «cured» instantly — it is replaced as a new, healthy nail grows. Results vary from case to case, which is why we work with an individual assessment.
How long until I see results?
Nails grow slowly, so the improvement shows gradually over the following months, as healthy nail grows from the base.
Is it painful?
A tolerable warmth is felt during the session. No anaesthesia is needed and you can resume your normal activity the same day.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the number of nails and the severity, so we give it after assessing the nail. That way we give you an honest figure rather than a random estimate.
How do I stop it coming back?
Good hygiene, drying your feet well, breathable footwear and disinfecting shoes and socks all help. At the consultation we give you guidance to lower the risk of recurrence.
