What is rosacea and why it appears?
Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes persistent redness, usually due to the dilation of superficial blood vessels.
Its exact cause is unknown, but it is generally linked to a combination of environmental and genetic factors. It is also important to debunk a myth: rosacea is not caused by poor hygiene. In this section, we answer common questions patients often ask, such as: How can I reduce facial redness? Is there an alternative to rosacea creams? What is couperosis? Is laser treatment effective for rosacea? Laser technology has proven to be the most effective method for reducing facial redness and treating vascular lesions, offering longer-lasting results than traditional techniques and topical medications.
What is the treatment process for vascular lesions?
To ensure safe and effective results, our clinic follows a clear, professional treatment plan:
01
Personalised consultation
02
Definition of a customised treatment plan with tailored recommendations
03
Application of the appropriate vascular laser procedure
04
Preventive therapy guidance and detailed aftercare instructions
In the following section, you can see real before-and-after results from clients who have undergone vascular laser treatment at our clinic.
How to prepare for your laser session
For at least two weeks before the treatment, avoid sun exposure and protect the skin with physical barriers (clothing, hats, sunglasses) or high-SPF sunscreen. If we are treating the face, avoid makeup or cosmetic products on the day of your laser session.
Avoid any form of stress as it may worsen facial redness.
02
Do not use steam rooms or take very hot showers during the first days after treatment.
03
Protect your skin from the sun at all times. Do not leave the house without high-SPF sunscreen. Right after vascular laser treatment, the skin becomes much more sensitive than usual, and improper sun exposure significantly increases the risk of developing new pigmentation in the treated area.
Always inform your specialist if you have any medical conditions or take medication regularly—especially if any of them may interact with the laser.
Previous treatments:
It is essential to notify our professionals if you have undergone any recent aesthetic procedures that may be affected by vascular laser treatment.
Laser treatment is not suitable for patients with skin cancer, infectious skin diseases, non-healed wounds, excessive or atypical moles (especially near the eyes).
The number of sessions varies depending on the case, but most patients require 4–6 sessions. The price of laser treatment for rosacea or spider veins will depend on the complexity of the vascular areas to be treated.
Most sessions last around 20 minutes, depending on the size and location of the vascular lesions.
Most clients tolerate the treatment well. The level of discomfort depends on the individual and the sensitivity of the area, but the laser intensity can be adjusted if needed.
Yes — provided it is performed by trained professionals using medical-grade laser technology. At our clinic, safety is always the top priority.
It is not common, but they can reappear if post-treatment recommendations are not followed, especially regarding sun protection and skin care.
